Derna Hintz, Senior Manager, Grant Thornton LLP

Derna Hintz, CPA, CA, is a Senior Manager at Grant Thornton LLP in Winnipeg in the Assurance services group. As part of the Assurance services team, Derna’s focus is managing medium to large audits but also managing review engagements and compilations to owner-managed businesses. Derna is involved with all aspects of these engagements, including tax planning and advisory. With over 15 years at the Winnipeg office, Derna has significant amount of experience across a wide variety of industries, including construction and real estate. Derna serves as the Chair of the Construction and Real Estate sector group at the Winnipeg office.


Jack Waterman, Principal, Grant Thornton LLP

Jack Waterman, CPA, CA, CMA, is a Principal in the Grant Thornton tax group in Winnipeg. Jack specializes in personal and corporate tax preparation and planning, estate planning, corporate reorganizations and dealing with the Canada Revenue Agency. Jack has a significant amount of experience across a wide variety of industries including construction, real estate and manufacturing.


Steve Williams, Senior Manager, Grant Thornton LLP

Steve Williams, CPA, CA, CBV,  leads Grant Thornton’s corporate finance offering in Winnipeg. He works closely with business owners and their management teams to support them through growth, transition and transactions.  Steve is a Chartered Business Valuator and has lead a variety of engagements including: business valuations, intangible assets valuations, mergers & acquisitions, transaction advisory, due diligence, litigation support and financial modelling.
