Building Size and Construction Relative to Occupancy

This half day course provides participants with a basic understanding of the application of Subsection 3.2.2. Size and Construction Relative to Occupancy of the 2010 National Building Code of Canada (NBC) to buildings regulated by Part 3 of the Code. It is the starting point of any Code analysis and this is reflected by the City of Winnipeg Part 3 Design Summary.

Each participant will be provided with the following software:

  • Software for the application of Subsection 3.2.2. Building Size and Construction Relative to Occupancy of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC). This software will allow the user to view the construction requirements of Subsection 3.2.2. from the 2010 NBC and editions dating back to 1975.
  • Effective dates of Codes and Building Bylaws in Manitoba.
  • Definitions in the 2010 NBC.
