Bird Construction Chairman and CEO Paul Charette and his wife Gerri have donated $200,000 to an endowment fund at Red River College. The contribution, one of RRC's largest, will go to fund the Paul Charette Awards, a financial need-based bursary program for students in RRC's Civil Engineering Technology program. The full amount of the donation will be matched by the Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative (MSBI). Combined with an earlier contribution made by Charette and MSBI, the total endowment sits at $465,000.
The meeting space within the WCA buiding is in high demand. Currently we have over nine groups booking the WCA boardrooms on a regular basis - many of which are tenants. Space is generally booked on a first-come, first-serve basis, however, regular, monthly meetings are booked up to a year in advance. If you have had problems with WCA meeting room availability, we suggest you book as early as possible, consider booking the Malcolm Boardroom which can seat 12 comfortably, or book an early morning meeting as the lunch slots are often filled while the rest of the day is open. _________________________________________
