Understanding the Paperwork and Getting it Right! - This session will be presented by local Prime Contractors with first hand knowledge of LEED projects and experience with problems related to trade and supplier specific responsibilities. If you are a subcontractor or supplier to a LEED project – you need to attend this seminar.
“Building Supervisors for Tomorrow” has been designed to prepare first time supervisors on their journey into
management. Understanding how busy people are with work and family time, this program has been developed in modular hours, each module running anywhere from 4 hours to 8 hours depending on the topic. This delivery system is more flexible than any other program currently being offered. It’s affordable and upon completion of approx 60 module hours a certificate will be earned and awarded. Upon completion of the 14 modules and the required mentorship period, the individual will attain a Building Supervisors for Tomorrow Certificate.

Gold Seal" Online Training for Managers, Supervisors & Estimators (5 gold seal credits for each course)
E-Learning by Construction Sector Council and Winnipeg Construction Association presents three online e-learning courses all worth five gold seal credits each.
1. Communication, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (CNCR)
This course has been designed to help improve the written, oral and negotiating skills for estimators, superintendents and project managers who must deal effectively and professionally with employees, sub-trades, owners, clients, engineers and their employees. This course is self-paced and is approximately 8 hours in length.

2. Construction Project Management (CPM)
This course is designed for project managers, superintendents and estimators. The course covers business case development, procurement, contracting, risk management and project close-out.

3. Construction Law (CL)
The Construction Law course is designed to teach and familiarize owners, managers, supervisors and project managers with construction contracts and contract law; liabilities and responsibilities of all parties to a Contract, compiling and submitting proper extras and claims, and ways and means for leaders to avoid conflict with contracts, owners, trades and labour.
