Builders' Liens Act
All construction projects in Manitoba have protection under the Builders' Liens Act. In Manitoba, the Holdback rate is 7.5 per cent and the Lien Holdback period is 40 days. But it is far more complex than that and we recommend that all firms involved in the construction industry, and having lien rights, obtain a copy of the Builders' Liens Act by following the links below.
