Federal Fair Wages and Hours of Labour Act
The Federal Fair Wages and Hours of Labour Act sets construction minimum wages for certain trades involved in work on Federal Government contracts for construction, renovation, repair, or demolition. This Act attempts to set a minimum standard much like the Construction Industry Wages Act, and it is the stated intention of Labour Canada to update this regularly. Contractors are advised to review the project documents carefully for information on the applicability of this Act/Regulation.
